‘Born in the ghetto’ see Formation Records head honcho – DJ SS – link up with Isaac Maya who is known as one of the top DJs in Latin America. Sharing a past that is common to so many in this world, ‘Born in the ghetto’ unites music lovers who have been risen in the ghettos from Leicester to Mexico to reach the heights of world class music production.
Hailing from the streets of some of the toughest parts of Mexico Maya has been within the scene since 2006 producing bass-kicking, frequency-shaking, ragga-jungle tunes creating the perfect match for DJ SS a bass scene legend.
From the outset were introduced to the addictively simple hook from Wolverhampton based artist Dvotion, which will be with you for days to come. Within the introduction building up to an equally addictive hard hitting bass drop that is characteristic of SS accompanied by the melodic raga sequence from Maya.
Not holding back the bass continues to be a body a shaker as the track progresses. Whilst still accompanied by soulful vocals from Dvotion that are more than memorable, this 3 way collaboration is a body shaking rise from the ghettos of the world.
‘Born in the ghetto’ is taken from the upcoming album ‘Back to Jungle Vol 2’ also to be released on Formation Records featuring Azpect, Critical Impact, High Roll, DJ SS, Aries + many more in what’s shaping up to be a big year for releases on Formation Records.
